London's Calling

Recently I went to  Central London with a friend, we visited Hyde Park and popped into Primark on Oxford Street on our way home!

On this paticular day I had put a lot of thought into my outfit so I asked my friend to take a few photos so I could post it on my blog!

The outfit was inspired by 50's Fashion as I wanted to create a modern twist on a 50's outfit, as usual all the pieces are from High Street stores and are reasonably priced ( All the shops are stated below the images).
I tried to achieve this look by wearing a spotty navy skirt which had a netted skirt underneith it so it could have the same effect as a large 50's dress. I paired the skirt with a pale pink cardigan and a navy jacket.

So here are the photos!

Cardigan - Pull & Bear
Skirt - Pull & Bear
Underskirt - Zara
Top - New Look
Tights - Unknown

My Spring Wish List!

I have decided to post regularly and I am going to stick to it. There should be at least three posts a week and I am telling you that I am determined to stick to this regime.

Spring is coming around so quickly and I cannot wait to see the sun shining again… although living in England means that the sun hardly shines in spring or summer anyway. From looking in the glossy magazines and browsing through the spring collections in the shops I can see that light yet bright colours are going to be a big thing this season. However, I just can’t drag myself away from the pieces which are pastel colours – in particular crème. Dresses are also going to be a big thing for me this season. I am starting to hunt for a couple of reasonably priced dresses which will go with various shoes and accessories so my Spring wardrobe will have expanded. Below is my wish list. By ‘wish list’ I mean the items that are inspiring me at this moment in time. They will give you an idea as to what I am looking for this Spring and what path I am going to take my style down this Spring.

The Mustard Shirt

I havn't blogged since September... SORRY! I don't know how the time went by so quickly. Since then I have recieved a good few more followers so I would like to say THANKS for following!
Okay, so the main theme of this post is my new mustard coloured 'silk' (fake) shirt. For ages I thought that mustard was NOT my colour. I would walk past everything which had a mustard tinge to it in any shop.
However, when I was browsing in the Topshop sale a few weeks ago this shirt caught my eye. It was half price at £20.00 and as soon as I had the courage to try it on I was at the till paying for it!!

I wish my fobia of mustard had gone away sooner because I would love to get a few more items in this shade!

Shirt: Topshop
Trousers: New Look

Thanks for reading... there will be a post shortly (promise)!

Summer Nights in Tuscany

Okay. Right. It has been more than a MONTH since I updated this blog! Kill me now!! I have just been so busy. I spent the rest of my summer having fun in Italy and school work this year is really tough, but I am back now -  for good!

This blog post is dedicated to my holiday in Tuscany, Italy. The two weeks that I spent there were really brilliant. I spent most of my time sunbathing and a little bit of time being a cool and quirky tourist!

The first week was spent in the mountains. The views were spectacular and there were pretty walled towns all around us! For the second week we moved closer to the coast where we stayed in a farmhouse! It felt like two different trips!

So what can I say? Here are some holiday snaps...

Alexa Chung... The Style Icon of Today?

I definitely think so!
Alexa is in almost every fashion magazine there is on a weekly bases and regularly appears on the cover of many fashion magazines. She has been the cover of Vogue more than once this year alone – which is something that she should be proud of!
For a while I was confused about what ‘occupation’ Alexa actually has. I knew that she appeared on many T.V shows on channel four for a while – what I didn’t know is that Alexa started modelling at the age of 15, stopped modelling to become a T.V presenter, got spotted yet again whist presenting and now presents and models!
Her originality and slightly edgy style is what people think of when her name is said. I have seen many people trying to copy her style and trying to take inspiration from her.
She certainly takes a good photograph and she looked great in her recent photo shoot for Vogue. I think that this photo shoot shows that she can look classy as well as edgy as the clothing she wore this shoot is very different to the normal items she is seen out with.

I personally think that her edgy style has got her to where she is today. She currently the face of Lacoste’s ‘Joy of Pink’ fragrance and the Italian Sneaker company ‘Supergas’. Not bad for a T.V presenter!

What do you think of my Alexa Chung inspired outfits?

Benefit Foundation!

If you read the post about all the items that I want from Benefit you will understand why I am so excited! The other day I bought the Benefit Range You Rebel Lite foundation!

It is really good and gives you great coverage and a seamless looking face! I am addicted already - I can't use it too quickly because it is quite expensive!

This is just a quick update, comment and follow!
